Joao Sousa

Joao Sousa (b.1989) is a Portuguese professional tennis player. On September 10, 2012 Joao rose to number 107 in the singles ranking, making him for the first time, the Portuguese number 1, a position the he currently holds. On 15th October 2012, Joao Sousa managed to enter the Top 100 singles ranking in 99th position, becoming the fourth Portuguese to enter the Top 100 ranking. In September 23, he got his higher singles ranking in the 77th position.

On 29th September 2013, Joao Sousa claimed his first ATP World Tour title at the Malaysian Open, defeating fifth seed Julien Benneteau 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 in Kuala Lumpur.

It is coached by former tennis player Francisco Roig.

Afonso Pimentel

Afonso Pimentel (b.1982) is a Portuguese actor.

He debuted with fourteen years featuring Luis Filipe Rocha’s film, “Adeus Pai” (1996), which earned him the Best Young Actor Award at the International Festival of Moscow (1997). Since then he played roles in several TV series in Portuguese television.

In 2003 was directed by Joao Lourenco in the Teatro Aberto, in “Demonios Menores” by Bruce Graham, working with the same director in “The Life of Galileo” by Bertolt Brecht. In 2006, he also participated in the play “Pedras Rolantes” by Pedro Ribeiro, in a staging of Antonio Pires.

Afonso received the “Globo de Ouro” (Golden Globe) for Best Actor, in the movie “Coisa Ruim” (2005) movie of Tiago Guedes and Frederico Serra. His participation is consolidated his film career, placing him as one of the actors in the winning list of Shooting Stars by the European Film Promotion on that year, receiving from the hands of Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett the Studio Hamburg Shooting Stars Award. His last appearance on film is in 2006 with “20.13” of Joaquim Leitão. During 2008 and 2009 he worked as a director for television, on producers like Plural Entertainment, CBV and Endemol. And returns to television as an actor in the novel “Espírito Indomavel” (2010).

He is back to the cinema in the film “Mistérios de Lisboa” directed by the Chilean-French Raul Ruiz. In 2011, Afonso is the director of the mini-series "O Amor é um Sonho".

Pepe Rapazote

Pedro "Pepe" Rapazote (b.1970) is a Portuguese actor.

Despite having  an Architecture degree from the Technical University of Lisbon, Pepe embarked into the acting careers through the “Sociedade de Instrução Guilherme Cossoul“, where did amateur theater.

He started his acting training under the direction of director and actor José Boavida, taking the role over for several theater

Joao Manzarra


Joao Manzarra (b.1985) is a Portuguese television host mainly on the Portuguese SIC Radical network and best known as co-host, with Claudia Vieira, for the reality television show “Idolos”, the Portuguese version of the Idol series for three years and is now one of the most popular presenters on Portuguese television.

Manzarra studied Social Communication at Universidade Catolica but had to cut short his studies to host his first major show on television. For two-and-a-half years, he took part in “Curto Circuito”, a direct call program without prepared scripts becoming a popular presenter. In 2009 he co-hosted “SIC ao Vivo” with Jose Figueiras and Liliana Campos followed by co-hosting the show TGV with Carolina Patrocinio.
In 2010, he was nominated for the Portuguese Golden Globes award for "Revelation of the Year".

Because of his popularity, he has won commercial endorsements. He is also actively involved in charities.
Manzarra has a longtime relationship with the actress and model Jessica Athayde.
